Air Conditioning Recharge

What does my vehicle's Air Conditioning system do?
The Air Conditioning (AC) system cools the interior of your vehicle and helps remove humidity to de-fog the windows. Over time, R134A refrigerant can slowly leak out through the service ports, gaskets and hoses of your vehicle’s AC system.

Low refrigerant levels will result in gradually higher air temperature coming from the AC system. The increase in temperature may be so gradual and occur over such a long period of time that you may not notice it.

What are the benefits of an Air Conditioning Recharge?
Moisture can build up in the pressurized AC system and cause AC components to deteriorate or become damaged. Our Air Conditioning Recharge removes moisture from the system prior to replacing the refrigerant. This service also tests the system for leaks and then recharges the system with refrigerant. Recharging the system can lower the Air Conditioning temperature by as much as 30 degrees Fahrenheit.

When should I recharge my Air Conditioning system?
If your Air Conditioning is working but is not cooling efficiently, we recommend the Air Conditioning Recharge. Refer to your vehicle owner's manual for recommended service intervals.
